First came Family-Business of the Year. Then Small Business Owner of the Year. And now (cue the trumpets) SFW is proud to announce that our very own CEO, Ged King, has been named one of the Most Admired CEOs in the Triad region.
The award, sponsored by the Triad Business Journal, recognizes King’s leadership, both in and out of the office. King is well known for bringing research-based marketing solutions to clients that help them win in the marketplace. He has also worked closely with the SFW research team and Cleveland Marketing to pioneer a unique path-to-purchase matrix, and was among the first to launch a win-based agency-compensation structure. Under his direction, SFW opened a second office in Raleigh in 2015 on N.C. State’s Centennial Campus. In addition, SFW has earned a place on the INC. 5000 list for the past five years.
An avid cyclist, King leads his company’s participation in national bike-to-work week as well as other activities aimed at giving back to the community. The company’s yearly CreateAThon® efforts impact close to 30 non-profits and provide over $200,000 in pro-bono marketing work, making SFW the largest contributor to the event, nationwide.
King is an adjunct professor at Wake Forest University’s School of Business, teaching classes in consumer behavior and brand marketing. He is also a pilot.
