It’s springtime in the south. Flowers are blooming, pollen is flying, and SFW continues to grow. We recently promoted four employees and took a new team member under our wing, all in an effort to continue to offer stellar service to our growing client roster.

Megan Cleworth joins SFW as a senior account executive on the Raleigh team working with clients including Exclusively Weddings, Precision Fabrics Group and Kindermusik International. Megan previously worked as Marketing & PR Manager for Thirsty Monk Brewery & Pub in Asheville, NC. The fact that she served as the marketing lead for one of the nation’s best beer bars had (almost) nothing to do with our decision to hire her. Megan graduated from the University of Georgia with both a bachelor of arts in advertising and communication studies.

Two employees have been promoted from within SFW to lead our two account teams. Ryan Neely, formerly director of digital, will now serve as a VP, accounts, overseeing 50 percent of the agency’s accounts including Fruit of the Loom, Kindermusik International and Coastal Shower Doors. Dave Geren, formerly director of strategy, will also serve as a VP, accounts, overseeing the other half of the agency’s accounts that include Channellock, Inc., Primo Water Corporation and Strong Man Safety Products. Not to be left out, Senior Research Analyst Rick McCarthy has been promoted to director of research and strategy.

On the cross-functional side, Dena Harris has been promoted from content marketing & PR manager to director, content marketing & PR. In her new role, Dena leads all content initiatives to drive sales, engagement, retention, leads and positive customer behavior. She oversees a content team of PR specialists, copywriters and freelancers.

Welcome, Megan, and congrats Ryan, Dave, Rick, and Dena!
